The Job
The striking of a match echoes in the silent night
The flames burning and eventually igniting the end of the cigarette
He grins as he puffs and exhales the smoke through his nostrils and mouth
'It’s now or never, eh?'
Walking out of the darkness of a damp alleyway, he calmly cracks his neck
'It’s just another job. No biggie.'He reached into his leather jacket’s inner pocket
His hand was met by the hilt of a black handled switchblade he knew all too well
Flicking the blade out and admiring the shine for a moment
He concealed it within his sleeve as he noticed his target.
'Quiet and quick, it’s done in one slice.'
He waited for his target to enter his home, and calmly crossed the street
'What a beautiful and perfect night this is.'
Kicking in the door, he quickly shut it and withdrew his weapon
Surprised, he was met by his target, whom had a handgun aimed
“…Shi-” Before he could even finish, the expanding bullet met his chest
Followed by a few friends, causing blood to stain his nice black suit
As he fell to the ground with a thud, bleeding. “That’ll teach you, ya petty hit man!”
But the target was met with a sudden laugh, which made him take a step back
“Guns won’t do a thing…” the man stated as he rose, his wounds already healed
Rushing his target with inhuman speed, he slit his throat for that precious fluid
Gushing forth, as the ‘hit man’ claimed his bounty. Licking the blood off his blade
He laughed and walked back onto the street. 'A perfect night, indeed...'

Here's a poem I just wrote tonight while jammin' to some Rammstein and Lacuna Coil, for class tomorrow night. It's got some ties to the very awesome Manga/Anime Hellsing by Kohta Hirano that I love so much, that fans will catch on to. I haven't really written anything dark and disturbing, so I decided to try my hand at it. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did writing.

Totally epic. I can't think of any more words to describe it, that's how epic it was.
